The short version
Choose AuthoredUp if you write your own posts and want a polished editor, preview, scheduling and analytics at a lower price. Choose Klype if the draft itself is the problem and you want it in your measured voice and checked before it goes out. Klype costs $39 a month, $99 a quarter or $299 a year at the founding price, with drafting and Check on every plan. Using both is a reasonable answer.
What AuthoredUp does well
AuthoredUp is the cheaper tool here, and it does the mechanics of posting well. From its pricing page:
- An editor with text styling and bullet points, and a preview of the feed on desktop and mobile in light and dark mode, including the "See more" fold.
- Hooks and endings. The page lists 300+ hooks and post endings in one place and 200+ opening lines with 150+ closing lines elsewhere, so treat the exact number as approximate.
- Scheduling that runs through its browser extension.
- Analytics on content, team analytics on the Business plan, and an analytics API that the page says is available on every plan.
- Price: Individual is $19.95 a month, or $16.63 a month billed at $199.50 a year. Business is $14.95 per profile a month with a minimum of three profiles.
- Trial: free, no credit card required. The page does not state how long it lasts.
- Coauthor, an AI writing assistant built into the editor that learns your voice from your own posts. The page says it is currently in closed beta.
- No automation: the page says "100% secure. No automation. No cookies."
If you already write well and want a better place to polish, schedule and review what worked, AuthoredUp is built for that.
Where Klype differs
Klype sits earlier in the process, at the point where the draft is made and judged.
A voice that is measured
Coauthor is described as learning your voice from your posts, but it is in closed beta and the page does not say what it measures. Klype is available now and measures sentence length and spread, fragment rate, punctuation habits and contraction use from posts you wrote, then holds each draft to them.
Checking claims, not only readability
AuthoredUp lists readability and post-length insight. Klype Check looks at something else: figures with no source, scenes told as fact that may be invented, and the machine-writing patterns catalogued on our AI phrases page. It works on a draft from any source.
Context behind the draft
Klype keeps your product, buyer and plan in one record, and can import your LinkedIn Connections.csv or any CSV with names so planning starts from your own network. It does not do web lead discovery yet; that is marked coming soon.
The same stance on automation
This is a point of agreement. AuthoredUp says it does no automation, and Klype never logs in as you or posts for you. If account safety is your priority, neither tool pushes you away from it.
Side by side
Everything in the AuthoredUp column comes from the page linked under Sources, read on 22 October 2026. Where that page does not say, the cell says so, and a missing mention is not a claim that the feature is absent.

Who should pick which
Pick AuthoredUp if
- You write your own posts and want a stronger editor, preview and hook library.
- Analytics matter: content analytics, team reporting, an analytics API.
- Price matters most, or you manage several profiles under the Business plan.
Pick Klype if
- The draft is the hard part: you want it written in your measured voice from your product and buyer context.
- You want a check for unsourced figures and invented stories before anything is published.
- You want your connections export to drive the work, and an MCP server or API for your own tools.
Test them on your own draft
Write two rough lines you would really post. Run them through each tool's free trial, then paste both finished drafts into the free post checker. It applies the same plain rules to any draft, whichever tool wrote it, and it runs in your browser. Klype's own trial is 7 days with no card: start it here.
One caution. Klype launched publicly on 1 October 2026, so its track record is short, and this page was written by Klype. Treat the comparison as a starting point and confirm current prices on each vendor's own site before you buy.
