Klype vs Magical: Magical now sells healthcare AI agents, so compare carefully

Magical used to appear in LinkedIn tool roundups as a free Chrome extension for text expansion and AI replies. As of 9 October 2026 its website sells AI agents for healthcare operations and publishes no individual pricing. This page explains what changed and what Klype does instead.

Magical and Klype are no longer in the same category. Magical's site, checked on 9 October 2026, sells AI agents that run healthcare operations workflows, priced by demo, with its pricing page redirecting to the home page. Its text-expander Chrome extension still exists on the Chrome Web Store, but the site no longer markets it to individuals. Klype AI is a $39-a-month LinkedIn and multichannel writing tool that measures your voice, keeps your product and buyer in one record, and checks every draft before you publish. If you found Magical in a LinkedIn roundup, that roundup is out of date.

What each tool is for

Magical built its name on a free Chrome extension: saved snippets expanded with a trigger, autofill between web apps, and later AI replies and drafting inside LinkedIn, Gmail and support tools. That is why it shows up in lists of LinkedIn Chrome extensions. Today getmagical.com leads with "AI agents for healthcare operations": pre-trained agents for patient access and revenue cycle, a platform to build custom agents on your SOPs, and a managed-service option. Its navigation is Healthcare Providers, Healthcare Payers, All Agents and Platform. The footer still links a pricing page, but it resolves to the home page, and the only calls to action are Book a demo and Contact Sales.

Klype is a writing tool for one author. It keeps your product, buyer, voice and GTM plan in one record, drafts in a voice measured from your posts, and checks every draft before it goes out.

Magical facts from getmagical.com (its pricing link redirects to the home page), checked 9 Oct 2026. Klype facts from klype.ai. Where a detail is not on their site, the table says so.

How each learns your voice

Nothing on getmagical.com describes learning a personal writing voice. The old extension offered AI replies and could draft messages in context, but the current site does not market that to individuals and does not say how any writing feature handles tone. For a LinkedIn writer, the honest reading is that Magical no longer makes a claim here.

Klype measures your voice from posts you have already written. It records sentence rhythm, fragment rate, punctuation habits and how often you use contractions, then holds every draft to those numbers. There is no tone picker and no "sound professional" switch. If your posts run short and clipped, drafts run short and clipped.

Posting, automation and account safety

Magical's current product is automation by design: agents that execute operational work across browser and desktop applications in healthcare systems, with what the site calls AI judges as guardrails. That is the opposite of a LinkedIn posting tool's safety posture, and it is aimed at hospital operations teams, not creators. The site says nothing about LinkedIn, posting, or acting on social accounts. The text-expander extension, as it was known, pasted snippets and filled forms in the pages you had open; the site no longer documents it.

Klype never auto-posts and never logs in as you. You approve a draft, then publish it yourself. Before that, Check reads the draft for figures with no source, invented stories and machine-writing patterns, and tells you what to fix. It also scores drafts written somewhere else, including ChatGPT. For automation of your own, there is an MCP server, a REST API and a Chrome extension, and you can bring your own AI key.

Price, trial and what you get

Magical publishes no prices. The pricing link redirects to the home page and every plan goes through a sales conversation. Third-party pricing trackers list four quote-only tiers (Healthcare Providers, Healthcare Payers, All Agents, Platform) and no free tier. Whether the Chrome extension still has a free plan for individuals is not stated on getmagical.com; the extension listing on the Chrome Web Store is the only place the company still points to it.

Klype costs $39 a month, $99 a quarter or $299 a year. The 7-day trial asks for a card and charges nothing until day 8. A free version of the draft checks is at klype.ai/check. Klype launched publicly on 1 October 2026, so its track record is short and you should weigh that honestly.

Where Magical is the better choice

Magical is the better choice if you run operations at a healthcare provider or payer and want agents to take over patient access, revenue cycle and similar workflows across your existing systems. That is a serious product for that buyer, with EHR connectivity announced in September 2026. If you still rely on the old Magical extension for snippets and form filling, it is on the Chrome Web Store, and nothing here argues against keeping it for that job.

Choose Magical if you run healthcare operations and want agents, or you only need the old snippet extension.

Where Klype AI is the better choice

Klype is the better choice for anyone who found Magical while looking for help writing LinkedIn posts. Voice is measured from your own posts and held as numbers. Check reads every draft for figures with no source, invented stories and machine-writing patterns before you publish. Your product, buyer and GTM plan feed every draft. Nothing acts on your LinkedIn account. The MCP server, REST API, Chrome extension and BYOK are included at $39 a month, with a 7-day trial that charges nothing until day 8. Klype launched on 1 October 2026.

Choose Klype if you came here for LinkedIn writing with a measured voice and checked claims.

How to decide in one afternoon

Test both on the same idea. Write two rough lines you would really post, run them through each trial, then paste both drafts into the free post checker. Start the Klype trial: card required, nothing charged until day 8.
