Klype vs Postiv: a planning agent or checked drafts?

Postiv gives you Bob, a planning agent that fills your calendar, and publishes through the official LinkedIn API. Klype measures your voice and checks every draft. Both have MCP servers and neither logs in as you.

Postiv is the stronger choice if you want a planning agent that suggests an idea for every slot, drafts posts, carousels and infographics, and publishes to LinkedIn and X through the official API with team approvals, at $594 a year for one seat. Klype AI is the stronger choice if you want your voice measured from your own posts, your product and buyer feeding every draft, and every draft checked for unsupported claims and machine patterns before it goes out, at $39 a month with no annual commitment required.

What each tool is for

Postiv is built around Bob, a planning agent that suggests one idea per posting slot based on your content pillars, your sources and last week's results. It writes posts, carousels and infographics in your brand kit, keeps an inspiration library of outlier posts in your niche, and runs a weekly loop it calls Spot, Adapt, Learn, borrowing "the idea and the format, never the words". Scheduling covers LinkedIn profiles, company pages and X, with approvals and Slack alerts. There is a hosted MCP server, a public API with webhooks, and knowledge sources from your website, documents, YouTube, Notion and newsletters.

Klype has no planning agent. It keeps your product, buyer, voice and GTM plan in one record, drafts in a measured voice, and checks every draft. It has an MCP server, a REST API and a Chrome extension.

How each learns your voice

Postiv says Bob remembers your voice and that writing is voice-matched, and your brand kit stores the voice alongside colours, fonts and logo. The site does not say how the voice is learned: whether from your past posts, from a description, or from your edits. Its knowledge sources (website, documents, YouTube, Notion, newsletters) are about what you know rather than how you write, and that is a real strength for drafting with substance.

Klype measures your voice from posts you have already written. It records sentence rhythm, fragment rate, punctuation habits and how often you use contractions, then holds every draft to those numbers. There is no tone picker and no "sound professional" switch. If your posts run short and clipped, drafts run short and clipped.

Posting, automation and account safety

Postiv connects through the official LinkedIn API and says nothing logs in as you; there is no Chrome extension by design. Posts go out only when you schedule or approve them, and approvers can be set per profile, so nothing goes live without sign-off. One feature to note: admins can turn on team likes, where team members' accounts like a post when it goes live. Postiv does not automate DMs, connection requests or cold outreach.

Klype never auto-posts and never logs in as you. You approve a draft, then publish it yourself. Before that, Check reads the draft for figures with no source, invented stories and machine-writing patterns, and tells you what to fix. It also scores drafts written somewhere else, including ChatGPT. For automation of your own, there is an MCP server, a REST API and a Chrome extension, and you can bring your own AI key.

Price, trial and what you get

The pricing page shows annual billing only: Creator Pro at $594 a year (shown as $49.50 a month, "save 50%") and Team at $1,908 a year (shown as $159 a month) with unlimited members and profiles. Postiv's own AI-instructions file lists $99 a month for Creator Pro and $229 a month for Team on monthly billing. Agency pricing is on request. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial and "no charge today"; the site does not say whether a card is required. There is no free plan, though there are free tools.

Klype costs $39 a month, $99 a quarter or $299 a year. The 7-day trial asks for a card and charges nothing until day 8. A free version of the draft checks is at klype.ai/check. Klype launched publicly on 1 October 2026, so its track record is short and you should weigh that honestly.

Where Postiv is the better choice

Postiv is the better choice if you want planning done for you and output beyond text. Bob fills the calendar, the carousel and infographic editors apply your brand kit, and the official API publishes to LinkedIn, company pages and X with approvals. For a team, the shared approvals, Slack alerts and unlimited profiles on the Team plan are well thought out. The MCP server and public API are on par with Klype's.

Choose Postiv if you want a planning agent, carousels and API publishing with approvals.

Where Klype AI is the better choice

Klype is the better choice if you want to stay the author and want every claim checked. Voice is measured as numbers from your posts, not stored as a description. Check reads each draft for figures with no source, invented stories and machine patterns, including drafts from Postiv or ChatGPT. Your product, buyer and GTM plan feed every draft. Klype also bills monthly at $39 with no annual commitment, and the trial charges nothing until day 8. It has no carousel editor, no planning agent, and launched on 1 October 2026.

Choose Klype if you want a measured voice, checked claims and a monthly price.

How to decide in one afternoon

Test both on the same idea. Write two rough lines you would really post, run them through each trial, then paste both drafts into the free post checker. Start the Klype trial: card required, nothing charged until day 8.
