Comparison
Where a vendor page did not say something, the cell says so. A missing mention is not a claim that a feature is absent.
| Tool | Governance features the vendor states | Published pricing |
|---|---|---|
| Klype (ours) | Publishing rules, sign-off requests and an approval record of what was approved and how much was edited; team workspaces are in beta. klype.ai | $39 a month, $99 a quarter or $299 a year (founding prices); 7-day trial, no card |
| Writer | Enterprise lists granular agent governance, observability and auditability, audit logs, SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning and multi-factor authentication; guardrails are basic on Starter and advanced on Enterprise. writer.com/plans | No dollar amounts published; Enterprise via sales |
| Markup AI (formerly Acrolinx) | Lists compliance and policy rule enforcement, custom review criteria on Enterprise and a timestamped audit trail. The page does not explain how enforcement works. markup.ai/product | Starter $249 a month, Business $999 a month with annual discount; Enterprise unpublished. markup.ai/pricing |
| Typeface Brand Graph | Scans every draft in real time, blocks banned terms, names the rule that fired, and maps rule inheritance for house-of-brands organisations so a team approves overrides one rule at a time. typeface.ai | Not published; demo or sales |
| Jasper | Business lists admin controls and Groups, unlimited voices and a custom style guide; Pro lists single-user logins. jasper.ai/pricing | Pro $69 per seat a month, $59 billed yearly; Business custom |

| Copy.ai | Enterprise lists enterprise-grade security protocols and a designated account and support team; Workflows codify a process. Approvals are not described. copy.ai/prices | Chat $29 a month for 5 seats; Growth $1,000, Expansion $2,000, Scale $3,000 a month; Enterprise unpublished |
| Frontify | Brand guidelines in one place, custom permissions and single sign-on as enterprise security options. Governance and approvals are not mentioned on its pricing page. frontify.com/pricing | Not published; tailored quote based on monthly active users |
How we evaluated
- Rules: can the tool hold your standards and enforce them on a draft, and does it explain which rule fired?
- Approvals: is there a stated way for a named person to approve, reject or override?
- Record: does the vendor describe an audit trail or approval log?
- Pricing as published on 31 October 2026. Enterprise governance is often sold through sales, so several cells say not published.
Where Klype fits
Klype is our product, so weigh this section accordingly. Its governance is small by design: publishing rules, sign-off requests and a record of what was approved and how much it was edited, attached to drafts that Klype or any other tool wrote. It does not offer the access controls, audit logs or directory integrations that Writer's Enterprise plan lists, and team workspaces are in beta. It suits a founder-led or small marketing team that wants approvals and a checked draft without a platform rollout. Klype launched on 1 October 2026.
Klype's entry price is $39 a month, with a 7-day trial that needs no card. Start it here. Treat this list as a starting point and confirm current prices and features on each vendor's own site before you buy.

Questions
What is AI content governance?
The rules, approvals and records that decide what AI-written content may be published. In practice that means enforced standards, a named approver and a log of what was checked and approved.
Which tool lists audit logs?
On the pages read, Writer lists audit logs on Enterprise and Markup AI lists a timestamped audit trail. Klype lists an approval record. Others in the table did not describe one on the page we read.
Do I need an enterprise platform?
Not always. A small team may only need publishing rules, one approver and a checked draft. Larger teams with several brands, regions or regulated content may need roles, SSO and audit logs, which the enterprise tiers list.
Can these tools enforce rules on drafts from other AI tools?
Markup AI describes scoring AI drafts against your standards and plugging into assistants through MCP. Klype checks text pasted from any tool. Whether others review outside text was not described on the pages we read.
Is this list independent?
No. Klype wrote it and appears in the table. Each statement about another product links to its source, read on 31 October 2026. Where pages were silent, the cell says so.
