Klype for SDRs and BDRs: check AI drafts against your company facts

One unchecked template is sent hundreds of times. Check it once, against facts you saved, before it goes into the sequence.

SDRs and BDRs check AI drafts by saving the claims a rep may make once, then running every sequence step through a claim check before it loads into the sending tool. The check flags results, customer names, compliance status and urgency that your saved facts cannot back, so a template is fixed before hundreds of prospects read it.

Where AI drafts go wrong for SDRs and BDRs

An AI model asked for a cold email fills the gap between your product and the prospect with specifics. It adds a result, a customer in the prospect's industry and a reason to reply this week. None of it came from you. Because a sequence copies one step to every prospect on a list, one invented claim becomes hundreds of sent messages, and the rep whose name is on them answers the replies.

Two other claims fail quietly. The first is familiarity: lines such as "saw your post on pipeline coverage" or "following up on our conversation" that describe research or a conversation that never happened. The second is the envelope: the FTC's CAN-SPAM guide says commercial email may not carry misleading header information or deceptive subject lines, and a fake "Re:" thread is exactly that pattern.

Claims an AI draft might invent for SDRs and BDRs

These examples are invented for this page to show the pattern. They describe no real company, customer or result.

  • "We helped a company in your space cut onboarding time by 40%" when no such customer or measurement exists.
  • "Saw your recent post about hiring SDRs" when the rep never opened the prospect's profile.
  • "Re: our call last week" in a subject line when there was no call.
  • "Trusted by hundreds of revenue teams" when your saved customer count is a much smaller, specific number.
  • "We are SOC 2 compliant" when the audit is still in progress.

The facts SDRs and BDRs would save once

A saved fact is one sentence you can stand behind, with its source and date. Anything a draft claims that matches none of them is flagged.

  • Customers a rep may name, and the exact wording each approved.
  • Result statements you can stand behind, each with its source and date.
  • Security and compliance status in one approved sentence per item.
  • What the product does not do, so a rep is never drafted into a yes.
  • Your ideal customer and the disqualifiers, so messages do not claim fit that is not there.
  • Subject-line rules: no fake replies, no fake forwards, no invented deadlines.

The workflow

  1. Save the facts above once in your workspace, owned by one person, usually the head of sales development or RevOps.
  2. Draft each sequence step in whatever assistant your team already uses.
  3. Run the step through the claim check before it loads into the sequencer. Paste the prospect's post or page with the draft as source text, so "saw your post" is checked against something real.
  4. Fix what is flagged, or cut it. Send the revised template for sign-off to the manager by private link.
  5. Keep the approval record, so you can show which version of a step was approved and when.

The method is the one on the draft fact check page: Klype extracts the figures, guarantees, vague authority and stories in a draft, matches each to your saved facts and any source text you paste, flags what it cannot back, and keeps an approval record. It is rule-based, so the same text gets the same answer, and it never publishes or sends anything.

What the check does not do

It compares claims with the facts you saved and any source text you paste. It does not browse the web, does not verify outside claims and does not replace legal, compliance or editorial review where your work needs it. When it finds nothing checkable, it says nothing was verified, so you still read every draft before it goes out.

Sources

Each source is cited for the single point made above. Klype does not give legal advice; ask your counsel how any rule applies to you.

Common questions

Does the check read the prospect's LinkedIn page or website?

No. It does not browse. Paste the prospect's post or page text with your draft as source text, and a line like "saw your post" is matched against it. Without source text, the line is flagged for you to confirm or cut.

Will it rewrite my sequence?

It flags and explains. The fix is yours. That is deliberate: the sequence should still sound like the rep, and the check only decides whether each claim is backed.

Is this a compliance review of my email program?

No. It checks claims against your saved facts. Whether your program meets CAN-SPAM, GDPR or local rules is a question for counsel or your deliverability owner.
